Can a landlord be held liable for a tenant’s dog that bites someone in North Carolina?

In certain cases in North Carolina, if it can be proven that the landlord knew the tenant’s dog was dangerous and had the ability to remove the dog but did not, the landlord might also be liable when that dog bites someone.
