Do both spouses have to agree to a divorce in North Carolina?

Both spouses do not need to agree to the divorce. As long as one spouse meets the residency requirement (living in the state for at least six months) and the couple has been separated for at least one year, a divorce can be filed. Contact an experienced North Carolina divorce lawyer for guidance.
